Meralco Green Mobility Program
Meralco has been a key advocate for electrified mobility since 2020, promoting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and investing in the necessary infrastructure. Through its Green Mobility Program, we are committed to converting 25% of corporate fleet to EVs by 2030, aiming to significantly reduce our Scope 1 emissions.
So far, Meralco has converted more than 150 internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to EVs, representing 6% of our fleet. This is supported by strategically located charging stations, providing a robust charging network for the company’s electric fleet. Since transitioning to electric vehicles, Meralco has traveled over 2 million kilometers, and saved nearly Php 4 million in refueling expenses while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 130.3 metric tons of CO2.
These initiatives underscore Meralco’s commitment to powering the country’s shift toward sustainability.
