CONTRACT FOR THE REPAIR AND RE-UPHOLSTERY OF OFFICE FURNITURES (BAC CONTROL NO. CE0924-0287-1)
Interested vendors are invited to participate in the bidding for the Contract for the Repair and Re-Upholstery of Office Furnitures. The services shall be performed by the Service Provider for the following Service Sites:
- MERALCO Operating Center (MOC)
- North, Central and South Distribution Services Areas
- North, Central and South Business Centers
- Staff Houses in Baguio, Puerto Azul, and Subic
Repair and Re-Upholstery of Office Furnitures will focus on restoring functionality and appearance to extend the useful life of furniture, improving comfort and aesthetics in the work areas. This involves fixing structural issues, replacing worn-out fabric, and upgrading outdated designs to meet current office needs and standards. MERALCO seeks to engage with a CONTRACTOR that can provide the best possible services to provide MERALCO employees the best and clean working environment.
SCOPE OF WORK:
- Supply of labor and materials for the repair and re-upholstery of office furniture across identified service sites.
- Supply of replacement parts for office furniture.
- Replace and install necessary parts of office furniture where frequency of service shall be on an as needed (on-call) basis.
- Submit relevant repair and re-upholstery service reports required to update the asset management system of MERALCO.

Interested vendors must submit the following for eligibility to participate in the bidding:
FOR MERALCO ACCREDITED VENDORS:
- Certificate of MERALCO vendor accreditation wherein the accreditation must be similar to the Product ID for Repair and Re-Upholstery of Office Furnitures or related service.
FOR NON-ACCREDITED VENDORS:
- Company Profile
- Latest Audited Financial Statement
- Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) Registration Certificate
- List of Completed and Ongoing Projects for the past five (5) years that are similar to Repair and Re-Upholstery of Office Furnitures or related service.
- Duly updated Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Department Order (DO) 174 Certificate of Registration
The Letter of Intent (LOI) and the above-mentioned eligibility requirements must be submitted via email as PDF file attachments using a business email address only that includes the company's domain name. As part of cybersecurity protection, email addresses created from non-secure, free, or open third-party domains or sources will not be accepted as a company’s email address. Eligibility documents submitted through external document links shall also not be accepted. Non-accredited vendors must undergo the MERALCO accreditation process and must already be accredited by the time of the award.
The following shall also serve as basis during the bid evaluation:
- Has a track record of about five (5) years’ experience, supported by a Certificate of Satisfactory Performance, in implementing the required Repair and Re-Upholstery Services preferably for companies related to utility; and
- Capability to start the services by January 01, 2025 with appropriate operational knowledge and skills in Repair and Re-Upholstery of Office Furnitures.
MERALCO reserves the right to:
- Accept any bid and to reject any or all bids and/or to annul the bidding process in its entirety, at any time prior to award of contract, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected bidders or any obligation to inform the participating bidders of the ground for MERALCO’s action; and
- To issue an addendum to the Invitation to Bid at any time as a result of questions, change in acquisition schedule, or other relevant matters.

Vendors must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) in PDF format with the required supporting documents via email to Meralco_BAC_Secretariat@meralco.com.ph and group.networks.retail.services@meralco.com.ph using a business email address, not later than 11:59 PM, October 08, 2024. The Bid Documents shall only be provided to vendors who submit an LOI and meet the eligibility requirements.
Bid Document Fee (non-refundable): Maximum of ₱8,000.00 (VAT Ex. shall be paid upon submission of bid documents).
