Meralco upholds knowledge-sharing on Solar and Net Metering technologies with government engineers and electricians
MERALCO UPHOLDS KNOWLEDGE-SHARING ON SOLAR AND NET METERING TECHNOLOGIES WITH GOVERNMENT ENGINEERS AND ELECTRICIANS.
Officers and representatives of Meralco engaged with the Electrical Engineers and Inspectors of Makati, Taguig, Parañaque, Las Piñas, and Muntinlupa LGUs during the “Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Capacity Building Seminar” on June 28, 2017.
Organized by the Association of City/Municipal Electrical Engineers and Electricians of the Philippines, Inc. (ACMEE), the event aims to enhance awareness of local inspectors on Solar PV technology innovations; and to reinforce current practices on plan evaluation, and field inspection protocols using an Inspection Checklist based on the National Electrical Code 2014 edition.
Meralco Renewables Program Manager Anna Maria Reodica (in left photo) and Engineer Raul C. Balogal of Network Asset Management presented the Net Metering program, which is vital to all Solar PV installations. They also discussed the Solar PV installation public safety guidelines, an output from the collaboration between Meralco and the LGUs.
The top photo shows ACMEE President Engr. Ernie Valdez (4th from left) and ACMEE representatives presenting Meralco with a Plaque of Appreciation to Meralco. Reodica and Balogal (5th and 6th from left, respectively) were on hand to receive.
