One Meralco Foundation helps build Pasig diocesan center
Meralco’s social development arm, One Meralco Foundation, expressed its commitment to help the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pasig City construct a four-storey building which will house various pastoral programs of the Church, a project spearheaded by Pasig Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara. The structure, which will be called the “Tahanan ng Mabuting Pastol,” will also provide a venue for the Church to deliver social services to the marginalized, engage parishioners in various advocacy programs and a shelter for elderly priests in the diocese. Last week, Meralco President and CEO, Oscar S. Reyes (2nd from right) and One Meralco Foundation President Jeffrey O. Tarayao (2nd from left) signed a deed of donation with Bishop Vergara (3rd from left) and witnessed by Meralco’s Chief Finance Officer Betty C. Siy-Yap (right) and Head of Legal Services Atty.
